SO MUCH TO DO

There is still so much work to be done for Christ, and yet so little time remains to do it all.  We feel that is necessary to bring not only the lost that do not know Jesus at all to the knowledge of Him, but to liberate those who truly think that they are leading healthy Christian lives.  It will do us no good to post this blog daily with vital information to rescue your souls from false doctrine unless we have you examine where you are in Christ right now.  It would be like having you sign up to run a marathon for the Heart Foundation, only to collapse on the run because you have heart disease yourself.  We know of many Christians that can almost recite the Bible word for word.  They are always there with a snappy scripture.  And yet, these people have no idea of what the words they are reciting actually mean.  They take scripture out of context.  So many Christians, instead of truly learning the Bible and using it as it was intended by God, (as their “how to manual for a victorious life through Christ”), they are learning “of it” and then rush to certain scriptures to justify what they are doing.  Sadly…many fall into this last category.  This is dangerous and this is what enables these precious sheep to be deceived time after time.  The easiest way to motivate yourselves to truly get to know the Word is to see if you are living “in” Christ Jesus.  In Luke 6:46, Jesus asks “Why call me Lord, Lord, but do not the things I say?”  It has always amazed me that people practically stampede to the sign up sheets in churches to volunteer to please man, but their lives lived for Christ are so shallow.  Either in waking or going to bed we pray.  “Thank you God for all that we have.  We are so blessed.  Thank you for Jesus.  I have sinned, but it is covered in the blood so I am covered.  Keep things going good for me, Amen.”    Jesus expects more.  He expects your total submission to His Lordship.  He is not just a passport to heaven.  He is the living God who stands with His creation and He expects and deserves your total submission.  There is safety in this total submission.  If you are truly His, then you will yourself, test any waters before you enter.  You will hold any man or ministry up to the Word of God.  Herein lay the ONLY protection from today’s false doctrines and false prophets.  So we implore and encourage you to send questions regarding the scriptures we will be using if you don’t understand them or you have always thought that they meant something else.  Don’t throw your baby out with the bath water when you have a chance to mature and grow in the Word of God.  Sometimes when we find that we have been going down the wrong path or have become involved in something we should not have, we let pride and embarrassment to prevent us from breaking free.  We all make mistakes.  We all can learn from them.  But instead of allowing the enemy to make you feel like a fool, learn from your experience, dig in your heels, as many others have been deceived as well, and become part of the solution instead of the problem.  Blessings…Dave and Patti
