THE FATHERS OF DOMINIONISM, AND THEY ARE MANY!

We are going to quote these men and women from articles and books written by them or excerpts from interviews with these people.  You truly need to get acquainted with the people that come to your churches and smile at you from the pulpit as they lead you down a dangerous path that leads to damnation.  Quite remarkably, these words are used by these people to as they try to push their personal agenda of man and the flesh.

“The belief that we (mankind) have a mandate to build the Kingdom of God ON EARTH, RESTORING PARADISE, by progressively and supernaturally transforming ourselves and all societal institutions, through subduing and ruling the earth BY WHATEVER MEANS POSSIBLE, including technology, science, and PSYCHO-SOCIAL ENGINEERING;  and then and only then will Christ manifest Himself on Earth.”  From Al Dager in his book VENGEANCE IS OURS; the church in Dominion (Sword 1990) lists two other definitions of Dominionism:

“A basic premise of dominion theology is that when Adam sinned, not only did man lose dominion over the earth, but God also lost control of the earth, but God also lost control of the earth to Satan.  Since that time, some say, God has been on the outside looking in, searching for a “covenant people” who will be His “extension” or “expression” in the earth to take dominion back from Satan.  According to the Dominionist interpretation, this is the meaning of the Great Commission.  Some teach that this is to be accomplished through certain “over comers” who, by yielding themselves to the authority of the latter-day apostles and prophets, will take control of the kingdoms of this world.  These kingdoms are defined as the various social institutions, such as the “kingdom ” of education, the “kingdom” of science, the “kingdom” of the arts, and so on, and especially there is the “kingdom” of government and politics. (Dager, p. 44) ( as in the 7 Mountain Mandate Vol 1, 2 & 3, by Dr Lance Wallnau)  By the way, the only place in scripture that the seven mountains are mentioned in the Bible is in the Book of Revelation 17:9 (KJV)
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.  As being a religious system where it is described as the harlot, Mystery Babylon, and she rides on the beast, seven kingdoms that have oppressed Israel during the time of the Gentiles.  How ironic is that?  Playing the whore in symbolic language always refers to religious fornication and idolatry (Rev. 17:1-4; Isa. 23:17; 57:3-7; Jer. 3:2-9; Ezek. 16:1-63; 20:30-32; 23:7-49; Hos. 4:12-19; Nah. 3:4; literal fornication must also be understood in some of these).  We know that the true Church hasn’t been mentioned in Revelation since Revelation 4:1 (KJV)
1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
The Dominion Mandate:  Dominion theology is predicated upon three basic beliefs:
1)      Satan usurped man’s dominion over the earth through the temptation of Adam and Eve;
2)      The Church is God’s instrument to take dominion back from Satan;
3)       Jesus cannot or will not return until the Church has taken dominion by gaining control of the earth’s government and social institutions. (Dager, p. 87)

Clearly NONE of this is Scriptural.  And we’ve only just begun to scratch the surface.

Our special thanks today to Sarah Leslie who’s tireless determination to reach a lost and dying world for Christ has lead her to do much of the research from which we have quoted today.

Blessings…Dave and Patti
