Just BELIEVE what it Says!!! Baxter, Misinformed? Latter Rain? You Decide!

While I was flipping thru channels last night, being bored with the Sunday night football game, I came across a program on so-called Christian television with a fellow by the name of Irvin Baxter and a website of http://www.endtime.com/ came up. I nearly rolled off the bed with laughter while listening to some of this biblical fantasy. I just can’t understand how people can come up with some of the stuff that they do, and still claim to study the Bible. If people would just take bible scripture literally, and only take a scripture as symbolic or figurative if it can’t be literal, of course still looking for the literal truth, then they wouldn’t come up with all this ridiculous stuff. It would also eliminate a lot of confusion. He was teaching from the Book of Daniel 7:4-7 (KJV)
4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

Describing the beast that came out of the sea, instead of teaching the interpretation of the beast by the angel, or even teaching the interpretation of Daniels dream of the same beast in Dan 2:31-43, he claims the lion (Babylon) is Great Britain, and the eagle wings was the United States, the bear (Medo-Persia) was Russia, and the leopard (Grecia) was actually Germany. He then jumps to the 7 headed beast of Revelation that the whore rides on. He doesn’t teach the 7 headed beast represents the 7 kingdoms that have oppressed Israel in the time of the gentiles, Rev 17:7-10 (KJV)
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
Many teachers claim the 7 mountains of Mystery Babylon is the city of Rome. Here is what bible scholar Finis Dake says about that theory. Now this is pretty funny.

[1] “The very popular theory that Rome is the city of seven hills of Rev. 17 is truly unscriptural. In the first place, there is no mention of such a city in Rev. 17 or in any other scripture. As seen above, the seven heads on the beast of Rev. 17 refer to kingdoms, not literal hills on which Rome, Moscow, or any other city is built. If the seven heads referred to literal hills on which Rome is built we would have to believe and teach that five of these hills had already become flattened out before John wrote the Revelation, for “five are fallen” (Rev. 17:10). Rome would be on only one hill at the time John wrote Revelation, for only “one is” (Rev. 17:10). And, Rome would have to be moved from this, the sixth hill, to a seventh hill sometime after he wrote Revelation, for only “one is not yet come” (Rev. 17:12). From the seventh, which would continue “a short space” (Rev. 17:10) Rome would be moved on to an eighth hill (Rev. 17:11).
Such a theory is unreasonable. But when we understand the seven heads and the beast itself as referring to eight kingdoms, we do not have such a problem. These eight kingdoms that have persecuted and will yet persecute Israel in “the times of the Gentiles” are Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, Revised Rome, and Revived Greece."
The beast of Rev. 13 and 17 was “like a leopard,” which in Dan. 7:6 symbolized the old Grecian Empire. This is the one of the five kingdoms that had fallen before John wrote Revelation, and when it is revived again, as predicted in Dan. 7:7-8, 23-24; 8:7-9, 20-25, it will become the eighth kingdom of Rev. 17:11. The seventh empire will be made up of ten kingdoms, and the eighth will be the same ten kingdoms only formed into one empire under the human Antichrist”.

Now you can see how silly this sounds when your actually break it down.

Some bible teachers claim that the demon locusts of Revelation 9 are: Revelation 9:1-11 (KJV)
1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Some claim these to be Cobra helicopters with their min-guns on their tails. My first thought when I heard this one was, “How did they ever get all those helicoptors in the abyss in the first place? Who put them there, and what did they do to deserve being locked in the pit? Come on people, these are SUPERNATURAL beings, why can’t we believe that they are supernatural?

The NARzies (New Apostolic Reformation) have taken the 7 Mountain Kingdoms to be the 7 mountains of society that must be overcome…. Read this article that we posted earlier in the year. http://omegachurchdeceptions.blogspot.com/2011/05/7-mountain-mandate-ie-dominionism.html by Discernment Ministries. It will truly enlighten you.
