NEPHILIM, ALIENS, AND SCI-FI

Dave Theisen
After perusing (lightly) thru a pile of books all having the word “alien, or nephilim” in the title, out of curiousity I decided to do a word search on Amazon.com just to see how many times the word “nephilim” would come up.  Wow!!!  1,732 times, whether these are all titles or other things, you will have to look for yourself.  Don’t take my word for it.  Regardless, I came to the conclusion that this equates to a very large chunk of cash.   As with all the other heresy we read about daily in the Apologetics Ministry, I realized long ago, that this is why these authors and teachers are producing all this junk.  It’s not about saving souls, it’s about getting rich.  I was talking to an author down here in Austin, Texas a while back.  He says, “I don’t want to go in the rapture yet, I just wrote a book”.  Perhaps he was more prophetic than I thought.

From the gist of things they take the scripture from (Mt 24:37) and Luke 17:26 (NIV) 26 "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man.   These authors run with this scripture to mean as the days of Noah, these end time days will again have giant’s.  This scripture is explained pretty clearly by the very next scripture.  Luke 17:27 (NIV) 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. It basically says people were doing their own thing, minding their own business, and “whammo”, they were destroyed.  No mention of aliens or giants here.  As a matter of fact, Tom Horn, John Klein, Randy DeMain, Chuck Missler and all the others never really try to explain away these scriptures, 2 Peter 2:4 (KJV) 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; or Jude 1:6 (KJV) 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.  Are these guys saying a bunch more angels after seeing what happened to the last bunch of angels who messed with human women are going to get on the “band wagon”, and take their chances??  I think not.

One author points out that these Nephilim demons will be extremely evil during the end times.  I point out, aren’t demons just demons?  Aren’t all demons Nephilim?   Correct me if I’m wrong. We have an account in Revelation 9 where demon locusts and 200 million demon horseman are released out of the abyss onto mankind during the tribulation… oh yes, I almost forgot, it was suggested by one author in the 1970’s that these demon locusts could be Cobra helicopters with their stingers, miniguns.  My question to come to mind is “what did these helicopters do that they were put into the abyss in the first place, and who put them there?

Patti will be writing a much more in depth study of these books, and a  blog will be forthcoming.    Right now she is studying “Nephilim Agenda”, by Randy Demain.  In the meantime I’d like to point out some other scriptures I’m sure all these “false teachers” and “false prophets” like to ignore.  It’s the verses precisely before the one quoted above by Peter talking about the result of those angels co-habitating with human women.  2 Peter 2:1-3 (NIV) 1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. This to me is a good indication to what is going on in Christian literature these days.
The Gospel they are teaching is a far-cry from the one Paul preached.  1 Corinthians 1:23 (KJV) 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

I enjoy a good Sci-Fi novel as much as the next person, I also enjoyed reading the “Book of Enoch”, the “Book of Jasher”, and the “Book of Jubilees”, but I wouldn’t turn to any one of those books as far as my salvation is concerned.
