THE MODERN BABYLON

"The Modern Babylon" is a book written by Frances Swaggart.  I highly recommend this book as a "must read", especially to our Catholic friends and family.  It really documents the history of the Catholic church, many of it's traditions and pagan background.  It details how Constantine adopted much of  Babylon cult in order to appeal to new pagan converts.  The book takes us back to the cult of Nimrod, and his queen Semiramis and her supposed virgin birth of Tammuz.  It is very enlightening.  For those who dare to know the truth, they can order through this web page.  This is also excellent reading for everyone else as well.  It really shows how easily false doctrine can be introduced and how it can grow in the modern day church.  Being a former Catholic myself, this was a real "jaw dropper".

The book is currently out of stock at Amazon.com but can be purchased through Frances' website:

SHOPPING FOR SCRIPTURE

In the last blog we spoke of familiar scriptures.  We put it in the setting of those who have come to woo us to their heresy.  But to a degree, we all are guilty of “shopping for scriptures” that make us feel good and even sadly at times, to justify what we are doing in order to ease our consciences.  The Word should make us feel good, but we must be very careful not to start depending on our own understanding when reading the scriptures.  That is when the enemy comes in and starts to work.  Never forget that Satan knows the Bible and sadly better than most Christians.  He used the Word of God and tried to get Jesus to depend on his own understanding and not that which God intended those particular scriptures to mean.  Jesus, knowing the truth of the Word, cut Satan off by using the truth of the Word of God.  He resisted him with the very Word Satan was trying to use against him.  And as the Word also says, if you resist him, he must flee. James 4:7 (KJV) 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Some think that by saying “get thee behind me Satan” the devil is going to flee.  Not so.  You were given the armor of God to use in these instances.  One of those pieces of armor is a sword, and that sword is the Word of God through scripture.  The Word of God is total truth.  And to use anything but this is to walk right into the hands of the enemy.  As we have stated before, you MUST know the Word of God or it will be used against you.

The Word describes our enemy, the devil and his legions of demons, and gives us a warning about him in 1Peter 5: 8 KJV “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour” Anyone who is not feeding you the true and unaltered Word is part of the armory of weapons used by Satan.  He can use them because they have walked away from the finished work of the Cross.  They are no longer living for Christ, but are pushing their own beliefs and agendas.   So while we are busy looking for Satan to jump into the room physically or through possession of some kind attack us, we overlook his use of man as his main tool to bring us to our knees before him (Satan).  You say, I would never do that!  Think again.  You may, if you are listening to seducing spirits, cleverly disguised as teachings of man in the church, already be doing that very thing!  And if you are doing so make no mistake, you are putting your salvation in jeopardy.  (Colossians 2:18 “Let no man beguile you of your reward.”)  Our only reward as Christians is eternal life through the finished work of the Cross which is Christ and Him crucified.  In these end times we MUST be in search of scriptures that refute the word of seducing spirits!  1 Timothy 4:1 “Now the Spirit (the holy spirit) speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.”

The enemy is very subtle.  He and those who serve him use scripture as they have perverted it to serve their own purposes and ultimately to make you subject to the second death in the lake of fire.  If you are someone who believes that “once saved always saved” or “Eternal Security”, you are deceived by a perversion of the Word too as we pointed out in Colossians 2:18.  There are countless other scriptures that clearly refute “once saved always saved.”
Because you don’t have the Word in you, you fall easily to these seducing spirits.  They are delivered by seducing pastors, apostles, and prophets.  You fall in love with them and therefore what they say, as opposed to making Christ first in your life.  This is idolatry.

The Dominionist movement truly believes that the Church Age has ended.  They shop for scripture too!!  They quote Amos 9: 11-12 among many other scriptures to tell those who will listen to their lies that it is they, the chosen prophets of God, who must restore the earth to it’s former perfection before THEY can summon Christ from the right hand of the Father to come back to see what a good job they did.  Then Jesus can just sit down and start his millennial reign!  If indeed these “chosen” prophets could do this, why did God send His only Son to die such a horrible death at the cross to save us?  Why we could have straightened ourselves out just as these prophets say they are going to do.  The mere words “Earth” and “perfection” is an oxymoron!  The truth of Amos 9: 11-12 states, “In that day I (Christ) will restore David’s fallen tent.  I will repair it’s broken places, restore it’s ruins, and build it as it used to be so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name declares the LORD.”  Now does this sound like man can do this?  If these mere mortals, these modern day prophets cannot back up what they are preaching with solid and unaltered scripture then DO NOT follow them.  They are “FALSE PROPHETS”.  The Bible is a FINISHED work.  It has brought us from Genesis all the way to the future in Revelation.  No where in this Word does it speak of a “Joel’s Army” being raised up to overrun the earth and force subjection to Christ.   In a previous post we have proven that “Joels Army” is a supernatural one, not one made up of self anointed, and self appointed prophets.  That would be as tragic as the Crusades in their day or Islam forcing their religion and Sharia law on the world today.  The Word does not speak of legions of prophets being raised up to do ANY great work.  If it were so, the Book of Revelation need not have been written.  God showed many things to John, the author of the Book of Revelation, and nowhere were these special prophets given special messages from God to do “Kingdom Age” work on Earth.  Only Jesus will usher in the true Kingdom Age and set up His rule for a thousand years!  Tomorrow we will examine Psalm 110 which will further discredit the Dominionist movement.  Take heed!  Please remember that following the teachings of man, is “not knowing” the Word of God.  You will come to just echo the heresy and lies of your earthly teachers.

THE SPIRIT OF FAMILIAR SCRIPTURES?

I mean no disrespect when I use this term.  But it is something that I have become aware of while attending many churches in south central Texas.  All the services begin with the old pep talk.  They build up the crowd so to speak.  Funny, I enter the doors with praise and thanksgiving on my lips and am already built up just being in the house of the Lord.  But I have noticed the following scriptures are used the most.  They are good scriptures and most Christians know them and can recite them at will.  Whether they truly know the meaning of those scriptures depends on where they sit on Sundays.  Some are listening for the “Word of Faith” that they are familiar with and follow.  Again not knowing what they are involved in.  This is because they have allowed themselves to be led and have not taken the time to invest in their soul and spirit.  I don’t say this to make anyone feel bad but perhaps to finally get them to ask themselves the question…do I really know what I am being fed?  So much of the “food” out there today will poison you…for eternity.  See if you can recognize the following scriptures being used in your church.

Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Matthew 16:19 (KJV)
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 7:7 (KJV)
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
And everyone’s favorite.
John 3:16 (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
These are just a few, but after the “rev-up” just before praise and worship this can be where the familiar ends.  The regular attendees assume that their pastor knows the scripture.   But once the sermon begins, the scripture, if any, becomes a little less well known or familiar.  No one goes home and invests any time looking those scriptures up to make sure what was preached was actually the Word of God, or altered to fit the purpose or agenda of the preacher.  This is how they get led down a dark path and become participants of  hidden agendas such as Dominionism.  I watched Rick Joyner on a Christian TV channel and heard him say, and it was put up on the screen as well so viewers could read it, that Jude 1:14 (NIV) says “See, the Lord is coming with His ten thousands of his prophets.”  I have taped this program.  This is NOT what the scripture says and it is not even the wording used in the NIV.  What the NIV states in Jude 1:14 (NIV) 14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones (continues on verse 15).   The KJV uses the word “saints”, neither says prophets.  The Gods Word bible changed the term to “angels”.  He also quotes from Deut. 33:2, but there it doesn’t mention prophets either.  The NIV says “holy ones”, and KJV uses “Saints”.   In Deuteronomy 33, if you continue reading, you’ll see that in this context he is speaking of Israelites, when Moses is giving them the “law”.   But don’t trust us either, look it up for yourselves.
However, Rich Joyner being a prophet and a part of this Dominionist movement that is an integral part of Christian International headed up by Bill Hamon, is obviously trying to back the comments Bill Hamon made in his book, “Prophets and Personal Prophesy” (pg 20) in which Bill Hamon stated that God had told him that he was raising up 10,000 prophets (in America alone), and this company of prophets will come forth in the spirit of Elijah and they as a corporate body of prophets will fulfill the prophesy of Malachi, in relation to Christ’s second coming.”   Why would God tell Bill Hamon, and all of his followers for that matter, something that is clearly not in the Word?  Well, if it isn’t in the Word, they will put it there just as Rick Joyner did the other night.  And if you don’t know the Word and you just follow those you think you can trust in high places in your churches, this is how you get led down the path to destruction.  WAKE UP!!!  What you are doing and NOT doing is going to effect your eternity.  These are the times of the great falling away. Matthew 24:24 (KJV)
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Who knew you would so easily become a part of it, huh?  I bet for years you said it would never happen to you.  Well, you are allowing it and by allowing it you are becoming a part of it and endangering the lives of your brothers and sisters in Christ.  There is a penalty for that. 2 John 1:7-11 (KJV)
7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
We really do love y’all….Dave and Patti

TO GO FORWARD, WE MUST GO BACK!

We continue from yesterday’s blog with regards to Neale Donald Walsh and his findings as a follower of the New Age movement.

During Walsh’s conversations with his god he gleaned what I will encapsulate today into seven major points.  Walsh’s “god” had talked to other New Age thinkers down through the ages so I don’t want you to think that Walsh has some unique relationship with who he claims, as others have claimed, is the true God.  A couple of those other people, and I will keep it at two for the sake of time and sanity, were Helen Schucman and Barbara Marx Hubbard.  Barbara Marx Hubbard’s god spoke to her during meditation and asked her to take dictation from him for some books that must be written to mankind to set their thinking straight.  After nearly succumbing to insanity Ms. Hubbard went on to take dictation for this god for over thirty years.  You will see that the common points I will lay out here are present in most if not all New Age writings.  The extent of the information given by New Age authors seems to vary only in the author’s depth of ability and desire to give in to these seducing spirits.  I have never really checked it out, but it seems to me that women are the main target of this “god”.  Just as Eve in the Garden of Eden, this trend continues.  It gives a whole new meaning to “I am Woman, hear me roar.”  However, as you will see, this insanity has crept into the modern day church and it is growing as we speak and daily many educated Christians fall to these seducing spirits.  And some of these wonderful, dear, Christians actually become a vital part of unknowingly (we pray) passing this seduction along to other Christians.  So please continue to read our blog to make sure you don’t in the future or have not already fallen prey to these seducing spirits.  1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV)
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Point 1:  Man is God. God is man.  They are interwoven.
Point 2The New Age GOSPEL is from “god” and it is not the old Christian Gospel.
Point 3:  There is no such thing as the Ten Commandments.
(Another interesting side note here is that Walsh’s god spent quite some time with Walsh speaking of and defending Hitler during their conversations.  To condense it, Walsh’s god stated that Hitler was more of a savior than an evil man.  He did not cause suffering for the Jews, but instead ended the suffering of those Jews in the camps. ???)
Point 4:  Everyone will experience the greatest freedom, peace, joy, and love at death and no one will be judged or punished for simply being human. (there seems to be a bit of ambiguity here…the New Age says we are all God…so how do we not get judged for simply being human?!)  No matter how barbaric we behave while here, it doesn’t matter in the end.  However, Walsh’s god does point out that he is not pleased with humans killing other humans. More of this type of bizarre logic is stated in a book written by Barbara Marx Hubbard called “The Revelation”.  In this book her “jesus” dictated that there would be a “selection process” that will result in a second death of any and all that refuse to subscribe to his New Age Gospel.
Point 5:  As god, humanity rules the earth at will and makes all the rules and sets up governments at will.  And if they decide to change the rules, it is fine because they are all god and therefore god approves.  Man does not need rules.  (How anyone can fail to see through this one is almost comical!)
Point 6:  Walsh’s god told him that since the beginning of time, mankind has been taught that it was created by God.  This god says that the opposite is true.  Mankind is creating God.  Therefore, mankind must act, think, and speak like the god they are.  Man is continually creating his own destiny.  Walsh’s god teaches that mankind does this through “Conscious Evolution”.  The New Age Gospel teaches that this is the process of mankind consciously exercising it’s authority as God. (blasphemy)  Coincidentally, this is the name of another Barbara Marx Hubbard book.
Point 7:  Walsh’s god goes on to say that his “SPECIES” has just now arrived at the point of conscious evolution.  (Two things leap out at me here.  First of all in the writings of Barbara Marx Hubbard written decades ago, this god told her that mankind had just then arrived at the point of conscious evolution.  The second thing that leaps off the page is that we have just seen how Walsh’s god has told him he was God, and yet now refers to Walsh’s kind as a “species”.  So what is it…God or species???)  Walsh’s god tells that god…okay…once again….does he mean god or man or both?  Anyway, god is indirectly critical of Bible Believing Christians who preach sin, the sin nature, and that man is not God.  Walsh’s god makes it clear that the only real sin is for mankind to continue to deny that it is God.  He goes on to say that the only real devil or “Satan” are those who preach the difference between God and man and it will only be after all these “Bible and Jesus freaks” (my words here as this is how we are truly referred to by many New Agers) are gone or have come to the conscious evolution, will the world be saved from ultimate ruin and destruction.

Some other day I will make a list of World Leaders that follow and employ the New Age in the guise of the New World Order.  The list will shock some of you, but rest assured, it is real and thriving.  Dave and I firmly believe that when our blessed Rapture happens, the New Age movement, and the Anti-Christ in particular will take credit for our disappearance!

We believe that this “god” of Walsh and Hubbard and countless others is none other than the Father of Lies himself!  Since his victory in the Garden of Eden he has been fueled by mans gullibility and continues his crusade to bring mankind down at any cost.  Satan has never ceased and continues to thrive as long as there are those who respond to his “whisperings”.  Our coming blogs will show how these “whispers” have permeated the one, true, perfect, and eternal teachings of the Living God as impossible as that seems.  Please remember the things pointed out in this blog as you will see how these lies keep coming up in some Christian teachings, or how the teachers themselves have fallen prey to these seducing spirits.  And because of their reputations in certain charismatic circles, many have followed and bought these heresies with ease.  This is the great Omega Church Deception we speak of.

Blessings…Patti and Dave

A LITTLE BACKGROUND

 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV)
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Today I am giving you some information about a guy named Neale Donald Walsh and this information is found in a marvelous book written by Warren B. Smith, called “False Christ Coming Does Anybody Care?”  As I read this book and others that I will acquaint you with over the coming weeks, I was taken back to the 70’s and my personal search for anything other than “religion” that had failed me on a monumental scale since childhood under the guidance of the Catholic Church system.  I fell into the clutches of the most dangerous thing that I ever exposed my soul to, and that was the “New Age” teachings.  The Catholic Church who are teachers of catechism and not necessarily the true and complete Word of God leave their members perilously perched on a cliff of damnation with their teaching of “religion” and tradition and not the true message of the Cross.  So I went into my search totally unarmed with the true Word of God.  However, I did have, by the grace of God, enough information about Christ, to allow me to see that what the New Age had to offer was nothing more than what I referred to as a “rip-off” of what I understood at the time of the teachings of Christ.  I felt let down again and so I dug deeper and deeper.  Reading endless books and attending endless New Age Seminars and Unity churches.  Nothing was giving me what I was searching for.  I was clearly drawing from the wrong well.  Hours of meditation led me to what I felt at the time was a “divine” contact in the Spirit realm.  I learned that these spirits will woo you and sooth you and give you a sense of love and understanding so you think that you have found what you are seeking.  But I learned quickly that these spirits do not tolerate debate and the rage and physical manifestations that I was met with were so frightening that I ran as fast as I could from everything “New Age”.  I was a wounded soul and yet not a puppet.  The anger that I carried from my youth put a steel wall around me at all times and I never let anyone close to me.  I thank God for this wall as I know that it saved me from loosing my eternal soul.  I wanted to give you that brief background on myself so some will not say that I know nothing about the New Age and therefore am not able to write of it for lack of knowledge.

Neal Donald Walsh wrote a book called “Conversations with God”.  This book was published in 1995.  It seems that Mr. Walsh sat one night and wrote an angry letter to God.  Much to Mr. Walsh’s surprise, God (the entity that Walsh assumed was God) answered him with what Walsh referred to as an “inner voice”.  Over time Walsh and “his god” become everyday pals and together dismantled biblical Christianity.

Tomorrow I will draw a parallel between the delusional ravings of Walsh and the teachings of the Dominionists.  The similarities will chill you.

STUNNED!!!

When Dave and I agreed that it was time to depart the road most traveled here in south central Texas, we were stunned at the depth of the deception at work here.  How can seemingly intelligent Christians not be even the slightest bit curious as to why the Scripture they are hearing, is close to, but in no way correct in the context it is being preached?  Or is the sad truth that we have become “silly heads” so consumed with our everyday lives here on this very temporary Earth, that we entrust our very souls and spirits, our most precious cargo for eternity, to anyone who calls him or herself an Apostle or Prophet or Pastor?  Who has educated them?  And what does that esteemed body who taught them, teach or believe?  And is what these people preach truth and line up with scripture?  It amazes me that we are all so “green” lately.  Doing what is good for the “planet”.  We have gone through the myriad of horror stories of what will happen to us if we eat certain foods, drink certain water, and what we drink it from.  And how we stock up with the latest vitamins, creams, lotions, potions and pills and drinks and exotic fruits to keep these dying slabs of meat we live in temporarily while here on this earth, in good health!  Oh, and let’s not forget the mountains, oh pardon me, pyramids of money to be made at the same time.  I am all for taking care of the temple of the Holy Spirit, however, I have never heard even one moment of concern for this precious cargo when attending a “Newly discovered miracle berry!” seminar.  It is all for and strictly of the flesh and of the wallet.  And yet when it comes to where we pray and tithe and worship, and are spiritually fed, we are totally trusting!!  The price for getting this wrong is far more reaching in scale and in severity than the choice of a berry!  Remember our dear Jesus’ words,
Matthew 7:22-23 (KJV)
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Imagine standing before Him with your mouth full of scripture you know nothing about and a bottle of your church’s exotic health juice under your arm and hearing those words from Him.  The terror that fills my soul at the thought of that makes me move on quickly.

I know some people that can recite scripture on demand.  I know people that do it when not on demand and in fact will do it every time you open your mouth as a means to chastise you for your comment during a casual conversation.  And yet, they show their ignorance as it is out of context and at times, totally erroneous.   And it is folks just like these that sit in the pews week after week and unknowingly abet the false prophets as they weave their private agendas.  Scripture preached interwoven with lies and error is DEATH.  I am willing to bet that not one of the folks that we sat next to in church has any idea what is really the goal of their leaders and their leaders in turn.  The truth is I don’t think they care!  They are cleverly pitted one against the other in an intra-church popularity contest that totally distracts them from what is truly going on.  And they sit there, vying for the attention of “the chosen ones” of the hierarchy of the church instead of protecting their very souls and spirits.  We only get one shot at this people.  And if you get this one wrong…it will cost you your eternity with the Father.  You better decide what you believe, what it is based on, and if it is truth that lines up with the “Holy Spirit” inspired truth and infallibility of the WORD of GOD.  Isn’t it time that you quit playing Christian and playing church?  Isn’t it time you invested time and study of the Word in yourself?  You better know where you are being lead and by whom!!!

We serve the King of the universe.  He sent His Son to atone for our sins and thereby giving us back our contact with our Heavenly Father!!  Any man or woman that would put their own interpretation of the Holy and true Word of God is a fool.  For them to preach anything other than the Word as it is written, is for a self motivated reason for some foolish and personal gain whether real or imagined for them.  So ask yourselves today.  Are your really following the King or just a Fool that claims to be of His court?  You better get this one right.  Your ETERNAL life depends on it!!

Last lecture…I promise.  From now on I will offer you proof positive of the number of Fools out there vying for your souls.  Now if they are not serving THE King…who are they really serving and do you want to be part of that unholy and already damned crowd?  If the Word they are getting is not from the Holy Spirit, then what spirit are they listening to.  Remember, it can cost you your eternal soul if you get this one wrong.  Eternity is really a long time.

Blessings….Patti and Dave

THE RAMP

It always amazes me how the Holy Spirit works in our lives.  Last night about supper time I had no idea that I would be writing about this ministry called "The Ramp".   Patti still gets the Dutch Sheets newsletter.  (She only gets it in order to keep abreast of what these people are up to.)   If you haven't heard of Dutch Sheets, he is one of the regulars on the so-called Elijah List.  It's a group of people who consider themselves movers and shakers of the modern church, and apostolic movement.  I have had dealings with more than one person here in central Texas that wanted their book to be listed with them, or have one of their written articles appear on their site.  This Bible verse from Galations comes to mind when I think of these people and their desire to please their peers, and to receive accolades from them. Galatians 1:10 (KJV) 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.  In his newsletter he mentions their ministry move to Hamilton, Alabama.  One of the reasons he gave, was "One of the hubs of this awakening has become The Ramp, a ministry located here in Hamilton. Thousands of young people come here every month to drink of this outpouring and return home as carriers of the fire. An internship/school has also evolved from this. I am already an apostolic voice to The Ramp and speak for their gatherings several times each year."  I had never heard of this, so I do a Dogpile search, and the top two hits are of this ministry.  Karen Wheaton, is the head of this ministry.  From their "About" page I get this.   "Our mission is to awaken a generation out of spiritual death and religious complacency, calling them to their individual purpose and corporate responsibility as an offensive army imposing the kingdom of God."  I was cruising the channels late last night, and on Daystar, I come across "The Ramp".  I tune in, and I tell you, I may be old, but I'm not that old.  When I was young I was into Pink Floyd, Grand Funk and Led Zepplin.  The band  was doing some kind of song, I'm not sure if they mentioned Jesus or not in the song, as you couldn't make out the lyrics.  Kids were jumping up and down, and dancing to the music.  It's what I call "headbanger" music.  The ushers or maybe a better word would be "bouncers" on stage were dressed in black t-shirts and camouflaged pants.   Anyway, a guy by the name of Damon Thompson, dressed like a street person starts his message.   This scripture came to mind when he started to speak.   2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV) 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,   He is not my idea of a role model for our youth.  One part of the message he talks about Daniels friends in the furnace, and says that Nebuchadnezzar looks in the furnace and sees the fourth man, and he looked like the Son of God.  He goes on to claim that we, as Christians can bring Christ to us.  He actually said we could summon Jesus to us when we needed him.  My Bible says the Holy Spirit is the Comforter.  (Jn 14:16, 15:26, 16:7)

This ministry has targeted young people to be indoctrinated into the Dominionist movement.  They are teaching them to be "an offensive army imposing the kingdom of God".   And not about accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, or teaching the finished work of Jesus at Calvary.  Dominionists like to use the term "Joels Army".  If you read chapter 2 of Joel, they take this as a literal army, not a supernatural one, that will create the kingdom of God here on earth, so that Christ can then come.  They will compel (force) people to become Christian.   They have raised themselves up to be mini-gods.  They are to create the kingdom, and then they will tell Christ when he can come back.  How blasphemous is that?

Finis Dake in his Annotated Reference Bible gives Seven Proofs why this army in Joel is a supernatural army, not one made up of mortal men.

1. There have never before been any like them appearing on earth before (Joel 2:2).

2. Nor will there be any like them again for many generations -- until the end of the Millennium when Satan and his angels and demons will appear on earth in an effort to take it over, at which time God will send this army of heaven against them (Joel 2:2; Isa. 24:22; Rev. 20:7-10).

3. A fire will devour before them (Joel 2:3; Ezek. 38:17-21; 2Th. 1:7-10).

4. They will be riding horses or be in chariots (Joel 2:4). This is pictured several times of God's army (2Ki. 2:11-12; 6:16-19; Zech. 1:7-11; 6:1-8; Rev. 19:11,14,21).

5. They will not be hurt even if they fall upon a sword (Joel 2:8).

6. Different from men, they are able to climb walls; they will climb upon the houses and enter into the windows like a thief (Joel 2:9).

7. They are the Lord's army and He will be leading them personally (Joel 2:11). His army is definitely spoken of as being all the holy angels and the resurrected saints from heaven (Zech. 14:4-5; Mt. 16:27; 24:31; 25:31; 2Th. 1:7-10; Jude 1:14-15; Rev. 19:11-21).

Joels Army will be taken up in another blog, because the material is so extensive, it may take more than one blog to cover it all..... Dave & Patti.
